Sjoerd van den Hoogeweg comes from a sport-performing mother line. For example, his own mother Folivia van den Hoogenweg received the Elite predicate after having run a good IBOP with 8s for her Canter, Reflexes, power, attitude and for her Ridability and workability. Folivia van den Hoogenweg is the only offspring of the mare Belle van den Hoogeweg and she was successfully competed in the sport at 1.50m with Jeroen Dubbeldam and then continued her career in China also in the 1.50m class.
Harley VDL
The sire line consists of three international show jumping horses in a row: Heartbreaker, Carthago and Caletto I.
His mother Larthago won 1.40m and 1.50m courses and, in addition to Harley, produced three approved stallions Cevin Z (AES, 1.50m jumping), Casago (KWPN) and Dimitri Z (Zangers-heide, 1.40m jumping). She also produced the 1.50m show jumping horses Hopes are High Z and Soren Z and the 1.45m show jumping horse Uncle Sam.
Harley was very successful at international level with Jessica Kürten. He was 2nd in the Grand Prix of Sainte Cecile and 3rd in the Grand Prix of Nuremberg and won international competitions in La Coruña, Aalst and Outdoor Gelderland. In Den Bosch he convincingly won the VHO trophy.
Numero Uno
Father Libero H (by Landgraf I) won the World Cup final in Den Bosch 1994 with Jos Lansink in a phenomenal way. Numero Uno won his aptitude test. He achieved a 9 for the canter and scored an average of 8.5 for the jumping components. Its print, technique and quality are characteristic. The maternal line goes back via the foundation stallion Farnese to the mare Fernsicht (by Ladykiller xx), a full sister of the well-known show jumping horse supplier Lorenz (Holsteiner lineage 429).
After a successful sporting career under European champion Marco Kutscher, the preferred Numero Uno has developed into one of the most leading stallions in global breeding with an unprecedented number of 1.60m Grand Prix winners and Olympic horses. Just a few examples are Tamino, Tyson, Uno de la Roque, Chameur and our own Van Gogh, great winner of GCT Valkens¬waard, LA Masters and Hong Kong Masters, among others.
Numero Uno, father of many approved stallions and champions at home and abroad, has also produced many successful sport horses. The total profit from his direct and indirect breeding products already amounts to more than 10 Million Euro!
