Top Notch Maverick is a son of the mare Laidy Avette. As a half-sister of the KWPN-approved stallion Gin Tonic (s.Breezer), who is successful in the Grand Prix, is mother Laidy Avette is of excellent pedigree. She is also a descendant of the promising Daily Diamond, which has already made a big impression with its first vintages. In addition, Laidy Avette is also the half-sister of the Z2 classified horse Evette (by Sir Oldenburg). Further in the maternal line we see the Prix St. Georges horses Valentino (by Riverman) and Equestricons Ziggy (by Riverman) and the ZZ-Licht classified horses Giovanni (by Arlando) and Lemmet (by Flemmingh).
The Bordeaux son Ferdeaux, who is classified with Hans-Peter Minderhoud in the Small Tour, is the father of Las Vegas. Ferdeaux has already had two sons approved by the KWPN in Jarville and Jerveaux.
The mother of Las Vegas is Dalia Delin, a daughter of the keur stallion Wynton, who was competed in the international Grand Prix by Madeleine Witte-Vrees before being sold to Canada for breeding. Wynton produced five KWPN-approved sons, including Pavo Cup winner Imposantos. The grandmother of Las Vegas is Zerrodelin, who also has a keur stallion as father in Houston. She is a half-sister of the Inter I-classified KWPN stallion Crosby (by Chippendale) and their mother Perrodelin, a daughter of the preferent Flemmingh, produced even more sport horses. For example, she produced Z-level dressage horses from Chippendale and Wynton. Next we find the foundation stallion Ferro in the mother line.
In 2022, top rider Emmelie Scholtens will take over the reins of the very talented stallion Las Vegas. In the selections for the World Cup. of 6-year-old dressage horses they immediately showed their qualities. What a beautiful combination and what power Las Vegas has. Without a doubt they were selected for the World Cup. in Ermelo and immediately showed their skills in the first qualifying test. They received a 9.8 for the trot, a 10 for the canter and a 9.6 for future perspective, which resulted in a final score of 9.42 points and a 2nd place. What a great performance this was. In the Final some small mistakes prevented a podium place, but with a final score of 8.74 and a 9.6 for the canter they finished in a very nice 4th place.
Las Vegas has been well trained this winter and the intention is to compete in the Prix St. Georges this year.
