You can’t paint them more beautifully! The foals of Don Romance PS inspire: effective and powerful in trot and canter, a clear rhythm and great transition in walk. This also applies to our Damian G.
Damian G is a grandson of the Staatsprämie mare Davina. Davina is mother of the gelding Farrel (by Fabregas), who competes at Grand Prix level with Abigail LYLE (IRE) and mother of the Premium stallion Friederich der Große Ggk.: HANN.
Don Romance PS OLD
Don Romance PS OLD was placed at the 2020 Oldenburg Regional Championships after winning bronze the year before and finishing second in his performance test with top scores. He received a 9.0 for his canter, walk, rideability, general impression and character during his 50-day test in Schlieckau.
This extremely charismatic rising star is the result of the dream genetic combination of Dante Weltino and the exceptional broodmare Gesina.
His father Dante Weltino was eleventh in the individual rankings at the 2022 World Championships in Herning/DEN, 14th at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo/JPN and was twice eighth at the 2021 European Championships in Hagen a.T.W. At the European Championships in Gothenburg/SWE in 2017 and in Rotterdam/NED in 2019, the Oldenburg reserve champion was also part of the Swedish bronze medalist team together with Therese Nilshagen. In 2018 he also finished fourth with the Swedish team and took tenth place in the individual rankings at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon/USA. Dante Weltino started his career in the five- and six-year-old classes with series victories and qualifications for the German Championships for young dressage horses. In 2014, in his first competitive season at advanced level, he won 13 times and was placed in the final of the Nuremberg Burg Cup. In 2015, at the age of eight, he successfully made his Grand Prix debut, finished fifth in the Frankfurt Louisdor Prize Final and was named VTV Dressage Stallion of the Year in Oldenburg. In 2016 he was selected by Sweden for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro/BRA. Among his more than 20 approved sons are Dante Quando OLD, champion of his stallion performance test and German and regional champion, and Dante’s Stern, German sport horse champion stallion and fourth at the Southern Germany Championships. Dante Weltino’s competing descendants have now reached the Grand Prix arena themselves, such as Hanami OLD who finished fifth in the Louisdor Prize. Dante’s Hit/Dorothee Schneider qualified for the final of the Burg Cup.
His mother El.St. Gesina has produced ten stallions. Among them For Romance I OLD (Oldenburg champion stallion and winner of the main premium, Burg Cup finalist, VTV dressage stallion and successful in Grand Prix), For Romance II (premium stallion and placed in international Grand Prix competitions at the age of seven) and Fürst Donnerhall PS ( approved stallion) – all a son of Fürst Romancier. Her daughter Fasine OLD (also by Fürst Romancier), Oldenburg champion mare, German champion, P.S.I record top prize and successful up to Inter II, produced the approved stallion Fasino (by Foundation) and the mare A la Fasine (by Apache) – mother of the approved stallion HP Valentino (by Vitalis). Gesina also produced the two champion stallions Feinrich (by Fürst Heinrich) and Viva Romance PS (by Vinino), as well as the approved stallions Despacito (by De Niro), Forever Romance and Face Time PS (both by Foundation) and Golden Romance de Malleret PS (by governor)/Helen Langehanenberg. Her daughter, the Oldenburg champion mare Fürstin Gesine (by Fürst Heinrich), produced the approved stallions Visino PS (by Vitalis) and Montrachtet PS (by Morricone I). Gesina’s daughter Furtherance (by Fürst Romancier) produced the two approved stallions Go For Romance PS (by Governor) and Viva Vitalis (by Vitalis), who was a champion stallion. Vesina PS (by Vivaldi) produced the approved stallion Sebastino PS (by Secret). Gesina, born in Bordeaux, produced Mount St. John Best of All, British dressage champion and placed to Small Tour level and is also the dam of Best of Mount St. John OLD (by Fürst Romancier), vice-regional champion and fifth at the German Championships and an approved stallion from Quantensprung.
Via damsires Sir Donnerhall I and Don Schufro there is interesting line breeding to the father of the century Donnerhall and the no less important half-blood Sandro in the previous generations of the pedigree of Don Romance PS.
His grandmother Gesine also produced the Reserve Champion Vivaldi’s Schufro (by Vivaldi).
The famous stallion Voltaire also comes from this bloodline.
From the elite Gesine line
Finest
The unforgettable “winner of the heart” on the occasion of his inspection in Verden, winner of the series of dressage horse tests and a father who is looking for his equal! After unique moments at the inspection in Verden, this convincing charmer made a more than successful entry into breeding. His foaling years left nothing to be desired. There was hardly a foal show in which Finest could not produce the respective winning foal. He has undoubtedly passed on his captivating charm, unmistakable character and even the three basic gaits, which are equally blessed with exceptional quality, to his descendants. In recent years it has been possible to provide several participants at the German Foal Championships in Lienen!
So the legacy of Finest is constantly on everyone’s lips – this is still reflected on the auction sites of various associations, an excellent prize spear chasing the next. The highlight was the inspections last autumn, when there were record numbers of approved Finest offspring. We would especially like to draw attention to the Verden license, in which Finest was represented with 9 of his descendants. One of them was even allowed to adorn himself with the coveted premium sash and changed hands for € 360,000. Through a total of 8 approved sons at the most relevant Körplätzen Hannover, Oldenburg & Westphalia, this year’s event was marked by Finest’s signature. And the first successes were also achieved at the mare shows, as well as numerous class victories and Schausiege were the result. A tailor-made legacy performance in every respect.
This picture book career is also reflected in sports. After his 30-day test in Münster (breeding value of 138 points), Finest developed excellently and became a serial winner in dressage horse tests at the age of four with scores up to 9.0. Undefeated in all his starts so far, he also managed to win the first qualification for the Bundeschampionat for 5-year-old dressage horses in 2016. Here Finest achieved the third highest score of all qualified participants in the Bundeschampionat in his class. Father Fürstenball was already setting milestones at a very young age – he was himself a brilliant champion stallion of his inspection, HLP winner, Federal champion of 5-year-old dressage horses and a high-ranking participant in the world championship of six-year-old dressage horses. The mother Like Princess from the Trakehner family of Schwindler produced two approved stallions and a top-level state premium mare with her first three foals. Mother Father Like Weltmeyer himself u.A. attract attention as an Olympian. And Prince Thatch remains in Allen’s memory as the father of the World Cup team gold champion Piccolini under Klaus Husenbeth. This line has already produced more than 30 approved stallions, countless elite mares and countless prize-winning foals. Finest has no red factor and is therefore purely dark in inheritance (no chestnuts).
